rock graduated in 1990 with degrees in Architecture/Construction Management and Business/Real Estate. For nearly 20 years Brock worked at Steve Burnstead Construction in Bellevue Washington. Starting as an Assistant in the Purchasing Department, later managing the Purchasing and ultimately managing the day-to-day operations of a division of the company as a Vice President overseeing multiple developments and in excess of $30 million in sales per year.

Brock has managed projects ranging from production home neighborhoods to attached homes to condominiums to semi-custom homes to Custom Homes exceeding 9,000 square feet.

In 2002 Brock was instrumental in the establishment of Brock Smith Construction, LLC – an affiliate of Steve Burnstead Construction – to address the Custom Home market at the Suncadia Resort. In 2008 Brock acquired Brock Smith Construction and left Steve Burnstead Construction. Brock established Brock Smith Custom Homes, LLC
